Panasonic BT-LH910 9-inch monitor

Panasonic's new BT-LH910 23cm (9-inch) LCD LED-backlit monitor can be used for field and studio applications.

Features include:
  • a new high-brightness (350cd/m²), high-contrast (1000:1) IPS panel with 176º vertical and horizontal viewing angles, that affords "the best picture quality in its class"
  • newly-developed 3D assist functions (it can take two SDI inputs and offers overlay and side-by-side displays, providing a 2D view of various 3D checks, such as composition, convergence, colour and luminance, focus and zoom position, and parallax)
  • professional interfaces including HDMI and 3G-SDI, plus 2x SDI loop-through for use with 3D rigs while feeding video to other equipment
  • 1280x768 (WXGA - 15:9 aspect ratio) pixel resolution, claimed to be the highest resolution available in the 9-inch and under professional LCD monitor category
It also has: a BLACK mode for confirming dark scenes; RGB waveform monitor; vectorscope; RGB direct white balance adjustment; colour audio level meter; SDI closed caption support; headphone jack; and tilt stand. Focus assist functions include peaking and 1-to-1 pixel zoom.

It can be used on-camera as an electronic viewfinder, in mobile or live settings, and takes Anton/Bauer battery or 12v DC input via a 4-pin XLR socket. It will be available in April, priced about €3,000, and will be on show at NAB.
